Holiday Review

Much has happened since leaving for Thanksgiving in Provo and I'm really not up for details of my trip prior to Brian's death (most details are lost now anyway). I'll just give a brief summary. Plus Julie is the keeper of all good pictures and it will take a while to get them from her.
Thanksgiving was really nice although it was one of the few holidays that the family was split between two dinners. Brian was just too sick to make the trip to SLC so he and Randy stayed in Provo with the Barrus clan and the rest of us ate at Julies. Everything was delicious.
Maggie fell madly in love with the piano on this trip.

Forester played the piano for all of us (with Maggie's help). He was really good!
I hope he keeps up the lessons.

James gave her a good swing. She loved it.

Maggie discovered "bug" while in Utah. She pointed out bugs the whole time we were there. And, apparently, she knows what to do with them--stomp on 'em!

Maggie still loves Randy's dog.

Char and cousin Audrey entertain Maggie while at Bri's.

Randy hangs with all of us.

I took a picture of Randy's wood burning stove he kept from his last residence. Notice the note he'd posted on it along with a picture of him in that last residence--his love--The Field.

We spent an afternoon at Ellen's house and they shared their teddy bears (and phone) with us.

Julie has been the "keeper" of a family toy for years. We all used this wooden Mickey Mouse as kids (I lovey, love, LOVED it). Shhh. Maggie will find this under the Christmas tree this year.

Maggie's first snowfall of this year. She actually noticed the stuff as opposed to the blank stares of last year. She really couldn't get enough of it.

She also couldn't get enough of all the attention from the Matesens. Here she is getting a "ride" in Brett's office chair.

A couple of things: Maggie made leaps and bounds on the developmental ladder while there. Shocking really. She also learned everyone's names along with a myriad of other vocabulary words.
