Hello....Hello Kitty

Maggie took her Hello Kitty stamp to her face.

Julie & Keirstens Birthday Party

Maggie was invited to her friends (twins Julie and Kiersten) gymnastic birthday party. This is probably the first time she truly understood what she was going to and what would happen there--cake, presents, etc. Oh, she had fun! I know there are a lot of pictures but since I'm blogging less (and all the pics were so cute) I'm keeping them all in.

Mama, I Want a Bagel--Toasted With Butter

I hear that statement a lot. A LOT. She's a bagel fiend. Mornings are bagels with cream cheese and afternoons are bagels with butter.

Denver Aquarium

Our play group had an activity at the Denver Aquarium. I rarely go to any playdates that far away but....eh, what the heck. Maggie had a really great time.

And some random pictures of Maggie licking frosting off the beaters. I made 85 cupcakes (4 different flavors with 4 different frostings) for Enrichment the other day. It was A LOT of work but they turned out very nicely.

She Knows the Basics

Maggie KNOWS how to use the potty. She just plain refuses. She says she wants to wear diapers like a baby. Instead she's decided to train Dora. Great.

Dora gets a standing ovation when she makes a pee-pee and then gets to pick a toy (we have a whole shelf full of toys that Maggie can earn by using the potty--she wants them but apparently not badly enough to actually do the deed).

Maggie asks for Addy quite a bit.

I'm In Love

I'm in love with these!

Dunno why they are so totally on my brain (for days!). I saw them in person today at the mall and I want them more than ever. But. But. We are in a "saving" mode, not a spending one. How to justify such a silly need (ok, want)? So that once a year I can pull them out, kiss their little noses and decorate for Easter? That's insane. Even my insane pregnant brain knows that's insane.

Obsess Much?

When I was pregnant with Maggie people kept telling me that I'd hit a "nesting" phase. I really didn't from what I can remember. My friend, Karla, and I decorated her room in a weekend and that was pretty much it. Well, THIS pregnancy is totally different. I've become what my sister calls a "crazed pregnant woman". I have an overwhelming urge to clean, organize, redecorate, and in any other way rearrange my house. Example: my medicine cabinet. I never get into this cabinet. Patrick gets into it at night to lay out our day of vitamins etc. After I did the baskets and labels he opened it and laughed out loud at what I had done. You probably will too.

Maggie didn't laugh but made herself as inconvenient as possible while I worked:

3D Ultrasound of Baby Girl McCarty

We had some 3D/4D pics of the new babe taken in Denver. They did get video of her moving--opening and closing her mouth while sticking her tongue out (almost like licking) and opening and closing her eyes, and even a tiny smile.
Foot in the face:

Tiny smile:

Mouth open during one of her "tasting" movements. She's also in the middle of a blink:

Eyes open!:

She looks a little squished on the right side (her left) because she was pushing up against me and wouldn't look directly at the ultrasound.

The next two are Maggie in her 3D ultrasound for comparison:

Ice Cream and the Paparazzi

The other night after dinner we couldn't resist a stop at the good ole' DQ.

This is Maggie avoiding having her picture taken. She was trying to hide in plain sight. The elastics were for her hair but she calls them rings and wears them as such. I let her so I can at least do her hair.

Stressing Me Out

Blogging (ok, the Internet and all of it's enticements) has taken over my life. A million sites to suck my time and then make me feel bad for not getting a dang thing done. I'm cutting back on blogging. Just am. Besides, how many people check my blog as often as I post anyway??I'll just be more random and spotty with posts for a bit. I think.
So, here's some pics for the week:
I usually mop on days when Maggie is in daycare. I did it really early one morning while she was still there. She loved the kitchen chairs in a choo-choo train formation. Loved it!

Our church nursery leader did a "seed project" with the kids about a week or two ago. We were sent home with a terra cotta pot full of potting soil. I was convinced it would do nothing. Wrong. Every morning we come down stairs to see how much her seeds have "growed". She points out the biggest and the smallest of the sprouts.

Have a little chocolate. Fall asleep. Then stay up until 10PM playing in your bed and totally frustrating your parents.

Cleaning day with a Clorox wipe and a swiffer. Is it not ok to put your two year old to work?

Loves to wear princess dresses. Loves to run balloon strings through her teeth.

Bye-Bye Binky Book. Binky's still around. Getting a little more important to her lately. We're thinking it's because she senses changes as my belly grows.
