Birthday Celebrations

Last Monday was my 33rd birthday. Patrick really outdid himself this year in an effort to make the day really special (and, I know, to keep my mind off the one year anniversary of my brother's passing). I woke up to flowers, balloons, candy, and a couple celebrity mags. He had also been working with my sister, Julie, on getting me some knitting supplies (everything I needed to make my first cable knit project). He also bought me Photoshop. Yes! Hopefully you'll see the photos on this blog improve as I learn the software.

Patrick also took the day off and took his family to the zoo. We had SO much fun! It was overcast and only 50 degrees out so we practically had the entire place to ourselves. It was perfect.
Waiting to go in:

Polar Bear:

Oh my gosh, I thought the fir on Maggie's hat was a giant caterpillar. I laughed and laughed, and then I noticed the mittens and I laughed and laughed some more.

Happy B-day! Thanks for making me laugh. Be sure to give Patty-Whack good lovin's for being his wonderful self.

I love the zoo! We go probably once a month - Natalie loves it too. And for your gift - Photoshop - you're gonna LOVE it. It becomes addictive once you figure out how to "create" new things on it. I wished we lived closer, I could show you what I know (not nearly all it can do, I'm sure).

Pat is the perfect husband! You couldn't have asked for a better birthday!

Give Mags a kiss.
