October is all about Halloween. Even if it's October 1st. The girls begged me to buy this little decal. We put it up and by the next morning it had fallen off the wall and ended up in a sticky mess on the floor.
Our washing machine went out. I learned that putting all of your laundry loads in at once moves things along pretty quickly. I also learned that folding your private items out in public or draping your line dry bras out can be a bit uncomfortable. But mostly I realized that the local laundry coin-op is a stinking fascinating place to people watch!
We love our sugar!
Caroline's preschool had a field trip to the pumpkin patch. It snowed that morning which made for a cold, and very muddy, experience. Maggie didn't have school that day so she joined the younger kids and we all made the most of it:
After a few weeks we finally admitted our washer was dead and headed out to buy a new one. The girls immediately found something to play on (annoy the sales people with).
A visit to the dentist. My kids love all of the sunglasses options they get to wear while in the chair with the big light in their face:
I know she's WAY too old for this but Maggie just learned to tie her own shoes. She learned this late for two reasons. One, I'm lazy. Two, these are her first shoes that actually have laces. Better late than never, right?
