April

Caroline had a cut and style:
Maggie planned a little date with a boy from school.  She even wrote it on the calendar.  After sticking to her plans for several days we had to break the news that she's not allowed to date quite so young:
Caroline and me waiting for her ride to preschool:
Remember when I said we had a mild winter which was awesome?  I spoke too soon.  Like WAY too soon.  It snowed...and snowed...and snowed.  All Spring long.  I seriously thought I was going to go insane!:
A nice break from...snow:
Caroline date.  She loves her some sour cream (and maybe a little something to use as a shovel for sour cream):
Chocolate?  Who has chocolate?:

Spring Break 2013: Taos New Mexico

Spring Break 2013 was a trip down to Taos, New Mexico to stay with Grandma and Grandpa in one of their time-shares.  So much fun!
Long drive down:
Absolute cutest little toy store I've ever seen!
Easter morning.  Sorry for the poor quality pics--my cell phone takes horrible pictures in low light:

It's hard to tell, but Maggie is holding a little fuzzy "worm" she got from the Easter Bunny:
Hat, leather canteen pouch, and arrows care of Daddy and his inability to say no in a shop:

Easter Ended in a ER for Patrick and me.  We have no idea how it happened but Patrick ended up with a swollen and painful elbow.  The ER drained it and he was good as new--still have no idea what caused it to begin with.

Kit Carson's headstone:
Playing in our little condo's courtyard with the bubble the Easter Bunny left:

We also did Easter mass and a bunch of other stuff but, alas, the photos are on Patrick's phone and who knows if I'll ever get them from him.  I'm barely getting anything up on the blog at all!

March Part 1

Must document our snowman.
Special day = she let me do something with her hair.
 Dress Up. Dance. Repeat.
I nice warm day with our neighbor-friend Amara.
She is seriously writing her birthday party guest list.  "How do you spell Ainsley mom?  How do you spell Marley mom?....."

Maggie and her huge obsession with big cats lead her to BEG me for this book.  I was worried it would scare her (she's a bit, um, sensitive).  She loved it!
I got sick and Patrick was going out of town.  Of course....my sister Ellen came to the rescue and flew out to nurse me back to health.  Here are Maggie and Caroline waiting patiently for her plane to arrive:

We also hit Target while Ellen was in town.  The girls were given the choice of ANY item from the dollar section.  They chose neck pillows.  I don't know why but they have loved them ever since!

Snow

We've had a dry, unusually warm winter.  That's fine by me because I was able to run outside almost all winter long.  But apparently it's no good for our summer water needs.  We will be hurting as a state!  One of our few snowy days (seriously--there's been like 3):

February Part 2

Baking with Mom:
Pajama day at school for Maggie.  Notice Maggie chose NOT to dress in her pj's.  Her teacher sent this pic to the parents:

Mall time with the little.  She loves a good slice of mall pizza and a big lemonade:
A selfie of Caroline:

February Part 1

I made a brief trip to Utah and left the girls home with their dad.  He bought both of them a little stuffed animal while I was gone.  I was getting Caroline ready the day I returned and asked her where on earth the little pink elephant had come from.  Daddy.  duh.
A rare warm day.  Sidewalk chalk.  A big person:

I love, love, LOVE that this little girl can pick up a book or magazine and read about the pictures she's looking at.  Love it!!:
Hair cut:
Her love of the "big cats" is intense.  She had almost $50 saved up from allowance and she blew it all on this lion:

January Part 2

Caroline feeling sick.  We had dinner reservations that night so I was very disappointed to wake up to a fevered babe.  She sure knows how to make you feel sorry for her!
Texting Patrick during the day about Caroline's progress:
Below is what happened just a short while after the text exchange above:

Sweet little Maggie (STILL holding on to that last front baby tooth!):
Waiting for it to snow:
Finally the tooth came out!!  It was looking awful so I begged her to let me pull it.

January Part 1

Ok, so January, February, AND March were full of ick.  I took very few pictures which makes me sad.  So here goes the first of two teeny January posts.
Randomly hanging out with my ladies:
Maggie reads to the rest of her family acting exactly like her teacher does--making sure those listening had a good view of the pictures:
I had to come get Maggie from school one day as she fell and smacked her mouth.  Her remaining front baby tooth was hanging by a thread and I was disappointed to hear that after getting smacked and bleeding....the tooth was tenaciously holding on.  She was traumatized so she came home with me and an ice pack:
Caroline playing with her dad's reading glasses:
